Ah Meng Restaurant, Singapore Zoo, Singapore

It was a hot and steamy Friday morning in Singapore with warnings of torrential rains late in the afternoon.

I enjoy Singapore Zoo, you don’t have the depressing concrete and wire cages that you see in many zoos around the region.

You can explore the zoo in 4 or 5 hours but be warned that on a hot and humid day you’ll be well worn out by the time you finish.

Alt. Pizza, Suntec City, Singapore

Another revisit for a restaurant I tried last time I was in Singapore. I had a pizza and a couple of US microbrewery beers at Alt. Pizza back in December.

You can almost get to Alt. Pizza without walking outside (and thus no need to get hot and sweaty) by taking the underground walkways from the Swissotel Stamford / Raffles City to Suntec and then through Suntec to Tower 4. You probably only have to walk 30 metres or so in the open to get to the restaurant. Fifteen metres from the subway to Suntec Mall, and then probably 15 metres from Tower 4 to the restaurant door.
