Wanting a taste of Japanese for dinner I saw Hakata Ikkousha Ramen while I was walking through Chjimes early one evening and decided to drop in for a meal.
Ramen is a Japanese noodle tonkotsu (pork bone broth) soup dish served with sliced pork, seaweed, a boiled egg and sliced green onions, and more boiled eggs on the side. The serving is HUGE and I could feel my stomach sloshing around while I was walking back to my hotel.
My starter was 5 pieces of pan fried gyoza.
A half litre of authentic Kirin beer helped me wash down my meal.
This was probably the best meal I had in Singapore during this trip.
I will definitely be dining here next time I visit.
