A couple of kms up Lygon Street, about 25 minutes on the after work peak hour tram, is a small brewery called Temple Brewing.

We got there about 5:30 on a Thursday evening when there were only a couple of people there.
There’s an inside area in front of the brewing area, and also an area out the front with around 10 tables. It was a nice evening so we sat outside but we did have to ask for the music to be turned down a little so we could talk.
We had time for 2 beers before heading out for dinner.
The pick of the day was my first beer which was a New World Order, an American stout which I really enjoyed.
My second was a Rye IPA called Rye Hard. It was a decent beer, but compared with the New World Order it was a distant second on the day.
On Thursdays it was $10 pints.
