I don’t normally stay at a Marriott hotel as I try to stay at an IHG or Accor hotel so I get my points (yep, I’m a bit shallow like that!) but this week due to all my normal hotels being full in Brisbane I decided to give the Marriott Brisbane a go having driven … Continue reading Brisbane Marriott Hotel, Brisbane, Australia
After eating at Cha Cha Char on Wednesday evening, we needed somewhere to eat on Thursday. A quick check with the staff at the pub we were having a drink at, and with the concierge at our hotel had us heading down to Fortitude Valley to a Thai restaurant called Bow Thai. When we asked the concierge at our hotel for a steak restaurant we were told of this Brisbane institution. Cha Cha Char is a wine bar and grill at the Eagle Street pier on the river in Brisbane’s CBD.
Well, its another week, therefore I must be traveling. OK, it’s not that bad anymore, but I am back in Brisbane this week. The hotel this week is Terraces on Wickham on Wickham Terrace (the person that named this hotel was a genius) in the Brisbane CBD.
Now, this is a nice hotel. Well appointed, good location, good sized and clean rooms and Internet access that worked… everything that one needs for a week away from home for work. The Brisbane Hilton is in the centre of Brisbane CBD and it was only a 10 minute walk to where I had to … Continue reading Brisbane Hilton, Brisbane, Australia
