In the morning I jumped on the train to head out to Taipei 101 to visit the observatory there. On the trip east I noticed that we went past the Chiang Kai-Shek Memorial Hall so took a mental note to hop off the train on my return trip to visit.
It was around lunchtime when I arrived so headed into the National Theater Hall to see what the food options were and found a small place called Scenery Books & Cafe.
Sceneray Books & Cafe, Chiang Kai-Shek Memorial Hall, 中山南路21號, Taipei, Taipei 100, Taiwan
The cafe is in an interesting location under the theater. Its in a walkway with some small tables and chairs to relax at. The hallway is lined with bookshelves so you can grab a book and have a read while having lunch. I guess they want to you buy the book.
The food offerings were limited and I ended up having a sandwich, along with a beer.
Its a nice location, but I’d find somewhere else for lunch.
