My trip to Japan was quickly drawing to a close and I was looking for one last yakitori feast.
Close to my hotel was a yakitori restaurant with decent reviews so I decided to head in to have dinner.
Charcoal Yakitori Kushi Hachichin, Ueno, Tokyo, Japan
I arrived shortly after 5pm and I was the only patron at that time.
I ended up ordering a bit of a feast as there were so many options
- Negima – chicken thigh & spring onions
- Chicken thigh
- Kawa – chicken skin
- Chicken wings
- Tsumune – minced chicken
- Pork belly
- Spring onions

Followed by a vanilla ice cream.
To accompany my meal I also had a couple of shochus.
The food was very good and came out in waves so it didn’t get cold.
The meal wasn’t cheap but I think it was worth the price.
