The next stop on my Japan trip was Sapporo and I’d read that soup curry was a speciality of the area.
Once I’d dropped my luggage of at my hotel I opened up my maps app and searched for soup curry. Luckily there were two well rated restaurants about a block away so I headed out to eat.
SHO-RIN Susukino, Sapporo, Japan
The restaurant I chose was SHO-RIN Susukino store. It was early so I was the only person in there when I arrived.
Their menu had a couple of different curry soups on offer so I ordered the chicken and vegetable curry soup.

The curry soup also comes with a serving of rice. I just chose the standard size rice but you can order larger servings if you want.
I also ordered a bottle of Asahi Super Dry.
This meal was one of the best meals I had during my trip, definitely in the top 2. The flavour was just superb and left me wanting more.
I did come back on my final evening in Sapporo for a second visit but I found that the soup curry wasn’t quite as good as what I had on my first visit. Don’t get me wrong, it was still delicious but wasn’t quite up to the same standard as my first visit.
I’d go back to this restaurant in a heart beat.
