The rain cleared long enough for me to jump on a tram to head to a brewpub that I had spotted the day before.
From JR Hakodate station its a 2 stop tram ride followed by a short walk to get to the location.

It was mid afternoon in Hakodate and I decided to take a walk down to an area on the waterfront where several warehouses had been converted into shops, restaurants and bars.
It took me about 30 minutes to walk from near Hakodate station to the Hakodate BeerHall, staying the shadows as much as possible to avoid the searing sun.
