I’ve mentioned Gollem on Amstelstraat many times and this evening I decided to head out to one of the other Gollem establishments about a kilometer away called Cafe Gollem Raamsteeg.
Cafe Gollem Raamsteeg, Amsterdam, The Netherlands
Cafe Gollem Raamsteeg is down a nice and narrow side alley between Singel and Spuistraat.
When I arrived the bar was already quite busy with most of the seats at the bar occupied but I was able to grab the last seat in the corner and begin my mini beer adventure.
As I settled in I ordered a New England IPA, Elixer III Azacca & El Dorado, from a local Amsterdam brewery called Walhalla Brouwerij & Proeflokaal. The beer was hoppy and fruity but nothing really to write home about.

I next had an old favorite, a Pauwel Kwak, a solid, strong pale ale that’s served in a cool glass.

I’ll definitely visit here again on my next visit to Amsterdam and I’ll be more selective in my choice of beers.
