After a quick flight from Seoul to Taipei I was ready to head out for a drink and dinner somewhere close to Taipei Main Station.
Across the road from the station is a shopping mall called Q Square, and along with lots of shops there are a good number of bars and restaurants. A quick look at the map and up the escalators to the fourth floor I was standing outside Le Ble D’Or with its interesting Chinese/German/Italian menu. In I went.
Le Blé d'Or, 承德路一段1號, Taipei, Taipei 103, Taiwan
The bar is a pretty large and can seat a couple of hundred. When I arrived around 5:30pm I’d say half the tables were taken, and there was a constant stream of people coming and going.
They seem to brew their own beers, and they were decent.
Foodwise I selected their Spicy Chicken Tips. As the menu says “It is beer’s best friend” and I can’t say that they were wrong about that. These chicken tips were superb and perfectly complimented the beers.
I did come back later in my trip just for a couple of beers to get out of the blistering heat.
A good place with decent beer and food menu.
