Sapporo Beer Museum, Sapporo, Japan

What can be better that mixing a museum visit with having a beer?

I headed off to the Sapporo Beer Museum to find out.

I headed to the Sapporo Beer Museum mid morning and it was already quite busy when I arrived.

I did the self guided tour of the old brewery equipment which didn’t really grab me, and just seemed to be there to funnel people into the tasting room.

The tasting isn’t free, you have to purchase a ticket from the ticket machine while you are queued up and you can buy individual beers, a tasting paddle of 3 beers, some soft drinks and snacks.

The tasting paddle was the overwhelming favourite option and is what I chose.

Three beers for ¥1200 wasn’t a bad deal and the beers, while mass produced, were good.

I did a quick scout around the main restaurant but it was booked out, so make a booking if you want to eat.

The museum itself wasn’t anything to write home about, but the beers were decent.
