Another hot day in Tokyo and I hopped on the train hoping to grab a beer at Craft Beer Market in Kanda.
As is usual for me at Kanda station, as soon as I get off the train I just lose my bearings and head in the wrong direction until I end up on the street a couple of hundred metres from where I wanted to be.
Yone Yona Beer Works Kanda, Tokyo, Japan
Heading out from the station fate popped me right in front of Yona Yona Beer Works, and who am I to walk past a bar. Especially when the midday sun is doing its best to burn you to a crisp.
I grabbed a stool along the wall near the bar. First order of the day was to have a beer while I looked at the menu.
There was a BBQ corn ribs dish on the summer menu so I ordered those as my first beer arrived.
The corn was freshly cooked and scrumptious. I do have a weakness for corn ribs.
After a second beer I decided to make a move and headed out into the fierce sun, jumping between the shadows when I could.
Oh, and I never made it to Craft Beer Market as when I arrived outside the bar I found that it was closed on this particular Saturday. So I headed back to Kanda station, grabbing a Starbucks Frappe on the way, to head back to Ueno.
