Korean Table, Melbourne, Australia

After an afternoon at the footy watching Hawthorn capitulate yet again we headed to the western side of the CBD in search of dinner in the small laneways.

Just off Lonsdale Street between King and Spencer Streets is a little laneway called Rose Lane and on this laneway you’ll find a Korean Restaurant called Korean Table.

It was pretty quiet when we arrived around 6pm so were able to grab a table straightaway.

The menu looks good and for the three of us we ordered

  • Mandu – Korean dumplings
  • Korean boneless fried chicken
  • Bo Ssam
  • Kimchi Bu-Chim-Gae – Korean pancake

This was enough food to fill the three of us and they all tasted great but the pick of the day was the fried chicken which was excellent.

Hakoya Izakaya, Melbourne, Australia

I’d tried eating here a couple of times but it was always booked out, so today as I walking with a mate to grab a drink I suggested that we pop in and try to book a table for dinner and managed to grab a table for 7:30.

And I’m glad we did as Hakoya Izakaya is one of the best Japanese restaurants I’ve eaten in outside Japan.
