If you’ve been to Melbourne you’ll know that the centre of the city is a maze of small laneways that host all manner of bars and restaurants. Bar Americano is off a laneway that’s off a laneway.
First impressions are small and quaint. There’s only a couple of others drinking mid week.
You don’t come here for the beer, which was an ISAAC, you come here for the cocktails.
I had a hot and cold pina colada. There was a twist in that the white chocoloate & coconut was a warm froth atop of the rum and juice so when you took a sip you got both a cold and warm hit.
My mate had their variation of an old fashioned.
We both agreed that Bar Americano is a great little bar to start off an evening in the city with a cocktail.
