Typical, old worldly suburban pub of dark wood and creaky bar stools.
On a Friday evening when we arrive around 6:30 the place is packed and we were lucky to find some seats at a share table. It was Friday happy hour after all.
The good live Irish music is in full swing when we walk in and the band grows in size as people arrive and join in. The volume isn’t deafening which is a good change from other bars.
Beerwise you get the old faithfuls of Guiness and Kilkenny and a smattering of others. The Guiness was very good!
If you’re looking for an authentic Irish pub this is probably as close as you are going to get in Melbourne.
