It was a beautiful Saturday and I headed out to the western suburbs of Seoul on the great metro system and was soon looking for today’s target, Ale Crew.
It is about a 15 minute walk from Sinchon station. Up an incline and then down a steep set of stairs to an old railway line that’s been made into a park / walkway with heaps of bars and restaurants lining the way.
Ale Crew, Mapo District, Seoul, South Korea
Luck was shining on me today. When I arrived a table was available on the deck overlooking the park / walkway. As said previously, it was a beautiful day, sunny, not too cold, so perfect for sitting outside and watching the world go by. It was also cherry blossom season, and they were spectacular and there were three trees on full display just outside the deck.
There is a very good selection of beers on tap, in cans and bottles. Certainly something for everyone.
I had a relaxing afternoon trying 3 pints of their beers, and they were all very good.
They had a decent food menu as well so I ordered the crispy chicken legs and they were cooked to perfection, and a good accompaniment to the beers.
This would be a perfect spot to camp on a warm Seoul evening.
