I headed down to the basement food floors at the S-PAL at Sendai Station hoping for a good meal.
I did a lap and honed in on a restaurant that served yakitori.
Aburiya Jubei, Sendai, Japan
Aburiya Jubei was a nice Japanese restaurant. I was quickly given a seat at the counter.
I ordered a good selection of yakitori, nothing to far from my norm, including green onion skewers, chicken skin skewers, chicken and wasabi skewers, chicken with plum and shio skewers and a cheese meatball skewer.
They came out as they were cooked which allowed me to pace my self and not eat cold dishes. All of the yakitori were very good, all quite tasty.
To drink I just ordered a draft beer which was probably Asahi.
I’ve seen that the B1F floor of S-PAL may be being renovated, so I don’t know if that place has been impacted by the work, but certainly worth checking it out if it is still open.
