Danshuu, Himeji, Japan

Back from Okayama and a couple of sakes at Kokoromi I was looking for a good final meal in Himeji before heading off to Kobe in the morning.

As I was walking to Public House Hosanna the previous evening I noticed a good number of restaurants to the south of the station area.

I walked in in the early evening to find a large restaurant. There are seats at the bench overlooking the kitchen and tables in room to the left.

There were many people already dining and I was given a seat at the bench.

There’s an English menu here thankfully and I was able to order many sticks of great chicken yakitori. All freshly cooked and all quite tasty.

Asahi Super Dry was the drink of the evening though there is a large selection of sake and shochu.
