For Sunday evening I wanted to try a nearby pub called The Frog & Rosbif. It’s part of the same chain of bars that I visited in Bordeaux.
The Frog & Rosbif, Toulouse, France
It was pretty quiet when I arrived, only 2 or 3 tables were taken so I had no problems finding a seat.
I ordered a beer while I perused the food menu (I still hadn’t decided whether I’d eat here or find a restaurant close by).
My first beer was a Darktagnan, an American stout with some pretty robust charred and coffee flavors.

The food menu looked good so I decided to stay and ordered the BBQ Burger which is a beef patty, smokey cheddar cheese, smokey bacon, red onion, pickles, lettuce and BBQ sauce on a brioche like bun, and a side of fries. This combination of ingredients was exceptionally tasty. A burger to return for!
Before calling it a night I tried one of their locally brewed beers, a Chipotle Chocolate Porter, which, as the name suggests, is a porter with chilli hit. It definitely had a spicy hit to it. You certainly couldn’t drink this everyday, but I’m glad I tried it.
Great little bar.
