It was time for a pre dinner drink and maybe dinner so I headed back into the centre of Bordeaux and settled into The Frog & Rosbif. It’s a really nice pub in a 16th centrury women’s prison!

The bar wasn’t too busy when I arrived so was able to grab a seat.
I hadn’t decided whether to eat here or not so ordered a couple of beers while I checked out the local area online.
The Frog & Rosbif is part of a chain, the same chain I’d drunk in Paris last year so a majority of the beers are house beers.
Firstly I tried Tha Wack! which was a pretty decent stout with a coffee taste.
By this time I’d finished my drink I’d decided where I was heading for dinner but had to wait for it to open so I decided to try a second beer – this time it was a Brew d’Ausone which was a malty brew but not as good as The Wack!
I think this bar would be a great place on a warm summer afternoon to enjoy a beer or 3.
