After my disappointing crepe I went looking for a beer and not 50 metres from the crepe restaurant was Les BerThoM which I would find out later is a large chain of beer bars.

The bar was mildy busy when I arrived and I settled in to drink some beers I’d never tried before.
This place has a pretty decent beer menu. I’d love to have had the time to work through it!
Today my first choice was a Duchesse de Bourgogne a flanders red sour ale. I didn’t mind it but found that it was pretty standard sour.
Next I tried the Tripel d’Anvers a Belgian Tripel which was strong and sweet.
Lastly I had Debaucery Black Ale India Stout with a strong coffee flavour.
The Tripel and the Stout were great beers.
By the time I left a couple of hours later this place was heaving and there wasn’t a spare seat.
Certainly a bar to revisit.
