La Crêperie de la Comédie, Montpellier, France

I’d left Toulouse around midday and the train trundled through the French countryside to Montpellier via Carcassonne and along the Golfe du Lion. It was a short walk to my hotel and then time to explore.

My first order of business was to find something to eat. I’d not had a crepe yet on this trip so had a quick look around the local area and found La Crêperie de la Comédie.

La Crêperie de la Comédie, Montpellier, France

As food and service go this restaurant would rate as OK, not very good, not very bad, just OK.

Service was a bit hit and miss and I found myself having to flag down the staff rather than them coming over the me.

I eventually ordered the Saint-Malo crepe which was filled with cheese and chorizo, and I also ordered a house red wine.

The crepe came out very fast and I tucked in but it just didn’t capture my imagination and I felt that it was quite light on for fillings. Maybe I just ordered the wrong crepe.

Given the other restaurants I ate at in France I found this place dissapointing.
