It was my final full day in Amsterdam, and Europe, for this trip and the weather started to turn for the better so I decided to grab a ticket for the hop-on, hop-off canal boats and just relax while watching life along the canals.
After the first circuit I jumped off at the stop Prinsengracht / Leidsestraat and walked south west until I hit Leidseplein where there are a heap of restaurants and pubs. I grabbed a seat outside at Le Pub looking out onto the plaza.

I just wanted a quick snack before heading back to the canal boat to do the second circuit.
Le Pub has standard pub fare and I opted for their classic burger with bacon, cheese, tomato and mayonaisse in a crusty, tasty roll. All in all, a good burger.
There was also a traditional apple pie on the menu so I ordered one to complete lunch and it was delicious.
I can’t go to a pub and not order a beer, so I ordered a Belgian Leffe Royale Cascade IPA which was strong and hoppy. A very good beer.
