Where to go for Sunday lunch in Seoul. I decided to head over to Gangnam to check out the Goose Island Brewhouse.
Goose Island Brewhouse, 강남구 역삼로 118, Seoul, 06251, South Korea
First impressions were very positive. It’s a very modern and large place over 2 levels. There’s an outside area upstairs that would be nice in the warmer weather but not on a chilly April Sunday.
You can see the beers brewing away in the tanks behind the bar which gives you a sense of authenticity.
While I’d had Goose Island beer back home in Melbourne, I’d not seen any of the beers I was to have so I settled in for an afternoon.
I can only find a couple of these on their website (I guess maybe they were small runs) I had Magic Hour, 118 IPA, Coconut Stout and Quadrupel. The stout and quad were superb but pack a real punch.
The food menu was good, the old favorite of fried chicken was available but rather I tried their 6 inch meatball sandwich. Think Subway meatball sub and you get the idea. It tasted really nice and had some salad and fries on the side. A hearty meal to help with the stout and the quad!
I would want too try the outside area next if I was in Seoul in the warmer weather.
