I’ve been to Bomba rooftop a number of times now and they’ve doubled the size of the bar in the past 18 months or so.
Bomba is up the east end of Lonsdale Street, pretty much opposite the Marriott Hotel.
Bomba have a restaurant on the ground floor that you enter through from Lonsdale Street, but before getting into the restaurant proper veer right and you’ll find the lifts to take you up to the rooftop.
Upstairs you’ll find a large bar. On your left is an open area overlooking Lonsdale Street that’s really nice on a warm summer evening, on the right of the bar is the newish inside area.
All the beers on tap are Victorian – it’s nice to see support for local micro breweries. Cans and stubbies are a selection from Australia and New Zealand.
Being a Spanish restaurant there’s a varied selection of tapas dishes to share – the garlic prawns and the spicy chorizo were both extremely tasty.
