Sarawak Kitchen Express is a cheap and cheerful Asian eatery on Franklin St. We arrived around 7:30pm on a weeknight and the place was pretty empty. From memory there was only one or two tables occupied.

It’s a cash only, pay when ordering type of place with a decent selection of dishes.
I ordered the chicken roti chennai and both the chicken curry and the rotis were damn good.
My friend ordered the special laksa which had a dark, creamy curry sauce and was HUGE! So huge they could only make their way through half the dish before admitting defeat. Though they did like the taste.
By the time we completed our meal around 8:15 they were putting the seats up on the tables as it wasn’t a busy night.
