It was the Thursday before Christmas and The Coopers Inn was going off. It’s right next to Telstra corporate headquarters.

This afternoon there was a small group of us winding up for the year before people headed off on holidays.
The beers are pretty standard, Coopers and Goose Island, but in the warm afternoon they hit the spot.
There’s a small sitting area out on Exhibition Street and the good news is that it’s smoke free! Though the smokers still congregate about a metre away outside the no smoking area.
While I didn’t eat, the food menu looked quite good and one of the group ordered a Beef & Guinness pie which looked quite hearty with peas and mash.
